OCT Group

OCT Group, founded in 1985 in Shenzhen, is a pioneer of reform and opening up and is a large central-run enterprise directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). It was one of China's first cultural industry demonstration bases and was recognized as one of the "National Top 30 Cultural Enterprises". Since 2010, it has received an A-level assessment from the SASAC for seven consecutive years and has remained as one of the top four theme park companies in the world for four consecutive years and No.1 in Asia. The total assets of OCT Group are nearly RMB 220 billion.

In the new era, OCT, closely following China's new urbanization strategy and under the guidelines of the five development concepts of "innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared", has creatively put forward the innovation-based strategy of "culture + tourism + urbanization" and "tourism + Internet + finance." It has actively promoted and implemented the strategy of urbanization and built multiple cultural tourism towns in Shenzhen, Sichuan, Beijing and Tianjin. In addition, it has promoted region-based tourism in Yunnan and Hainan to accelerate the asset-light development of national natural and cultural scenic spots and has actively responded to the Belt and Road Initiative to create a new cultural tourism hotspot in Xi'an.

In 2017, OCT Group set a mid-to-long-term strategic goal of becoming "a high flyer in China's cultural industry, a leader in China's new urbanization, and a role model in China's region-based tourism" to implement national strategies and fulfill the political, social and economic responsibilities of central enterprises. By expanding the scope of its business operations, accelerating enterprise transformation and upgrading, and establishing and improving professional platforms for culture, tourism, urbanization, Internet and finance, OCT Group has expanded to more than 50 cities across the country. It now also covers diversified business segments such as new urbanization, cultural and creative industry, industry and financial platforms, region-based tourism, urban development and operation, theme hotel development and operation, and intelligent management, which have helped to drive China's cultural tourism industry forward.
